FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SEVERN TOWNSHIP, ON (Oct. 2, 2018) – The Ontario SPCA is seeking the public’s assistance in finding more information on four white rats found deceased in a medium-size cage.

On Sunday Sept. 30, 2018, a local citizen found the cage containing the rats just off a private Canadian Pacific Railway trail at the corner of Anderson Line and Southorn Road in Severn Township. The cage had blankets and towels inside, one of which was white with an old red fire truck embroidered on the bottom.

The Ontario SPCA is treating this situation as suspicious and is asking anyone with information on these rats to contact 310-SPCA (7722).
